Entrance exams at the Department of Icon painting

From July 2 to 5, 2023, entrance exams to the Department of Icon Painting of the Faculty of Icon Painting and Church Art took place at the Moscow Theological Academy.

On July 2 and 3, Archimandrite Luka (Golovkov), Dean of the Faculty of Icon Painting and Church Art, interviewed applicants, who took a special exam on copying a fragment of an icon on paper.

On July 4, the commission viewed applicants’ creative works assessing a level of their artistic training as well as basic knowledge of prayers and their churching.

On July 5, the results were announced in the Great Hall of the Moscow Theological Academy. According to entrance examinations the following students were enrolled in the Department of Icon Painting:

11. Isaeva Angelina Dmitrievna. 

12. Kruglova Daria Andreevna. 

13. Kuleshova Maria Ilyinichna. 

14. Mirkulova Victoria Alexandrovna. 

15. Mrochko Maria Alexandrovna. 

16. Novikova Alevtina (Alina) Igorevna.

Applicants who did not pass theie entrance examinations, but showed good results, were recommended for Icon painting departments at the Voronezh and Kursk Theological Seminaries and the Kaluga Theological School.
