Students of the Icon Painting and Church Art Faculty at the Moscow Theological Academy defended their final qualification works

On June 29, students of the Icon Painting and Church Art Faculty presented their qualification works in the Great Hall of the Moscow Theological Academy.

An attestation committee assessed icons done in Russian and Byzantine styles. All works were up to standard and highly commended by the jury.

The following students presented their works:

  • N.S. Nedoviziy, an icon of "Assumption";
  • H.E. Shapoval, an icon of "The Great Martyr Panteleimon with the Holy Doctors";
  • E.N. Malakaev, an icon of "St. Roman of Ryazan";
  • O.M. Karyagin, an icon of "St. Sergius with St. Cyril and Mary";
  • E.D. Sheina, an icon of "Sts. Boris and Gleb";
  • A.P. Bukhteev, a deacon's door with "Heavenly Jerusalem. Exile from paradise. Seeing in the tomb. Torment of hell";
  • D.F. Kashitsyna, a deacon's door with "Ladder".

At the end, the members of the committee congratulated the students with their successful assessment and wished God's help and inspiration to follow their creative path for the benefit of the Church.
