Moscow Theological Academy celebrated the 5th Week of the Great Lent
There are only a few days left until the end of the Great Lent, however, the Church keeps encouraging, strengthening and supporting its faithful children. Now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? (Gal.4:9).
St. Mary of Egypt, gives a great spiritual example to all those who are on the eve of the Holy Week. She inspires Christians walking through the desert of a vain world. Her experience of great asceticism strengthens both who entered the Great Lent from the very beginning and who joined “about the eleventh hour” (Matthew 20:1-6).
