Moscow Theological Academy hosted an Easter ball

On May 1, students of the Moscow Theological Academy and pupils of St. Alexis Desert gymnasium gathered at the Palace of Culture named after Yu.A. Gagarin, Sergiev Posad for an Easter ball.

The most favourite dances were a "Seaman" dance, a big figured waltz and a Hungarian ballroom dance.

The participants also had a chance to see a theatrical performance “XV century judicial duel in Bohemia based on the Czech “Series of Zemstvo Law””. Alexey Kostin, Artyom Shelest and Nikita Kaliy marked some historical features of an “ordalia” that means God's judgment, and presented a reconstruction of a XV century duel between two Prague burghers (wealthy citizens). The staged fight was based on the Western European fencing tradition of Fiore delli Liberi, Johannes Liechtenauer and Joachim Meyer. After the theatrical performance, everyone went for a refreshment.

Thanks to numerous rehearsals, the participants did their best in dancing.

The guests also noted the high level of preparation and welcoming atmosphere of the event.
