Moscow Theological Academy together with the Russian State Humanitarian University held the IX International Scientific Conference «Problems of Preserving Church Art»

On January 28 and 29, 2025, the IX International Scientific Conference «Problems of Preserving Church Art» was held within the framework of the XXXIII International Christmas educational readings, dedicated to the «80th anniversary of the Great Victory: memory and spiritual experience of generations».

The conference was organized by the Department of History and Theory of Church Art of the Moscow Theological Academy and the Department of the Russian Art History at the Faculty of Art History of the Russian State Humanitarian University.

The online conference was attended by teachers and students of religious and secular universities, art historians, restorers, artists, monks and employees of church and archaeological museums. Overall, there were 42 participants from Russia, Slovakia and Israel.
