The Academy performed festive service on Christmas Eve

In the frosty morning the sunlight illuminated the earth and awakened the nature from sleep. This light slightly resembles the Divine light shining before the creation of the world.

Today the Lord invites His Church prayerfully witness the rising of the Sun of Truth enlightening every person.

Let us follow the wise men to Bethlehem, the city of David, and together with angels and shepherds glorify Christ the Child in the cave.

On January 5, 2024, teachers and students of the Moscow Theological Academy officiated the Royal Hours on Christmas Eve at the Intercession Church.

Hieromonk Micah (Kopytov) read the first hour; Archimandrite Hilarion (Forkavets) read the third hour; Archimandrite Luka (Golovkov) read the sixth hour; Hieromonk Kirill (Sorokin) read the ninth hour. 

They were concelebrated by Hierodeacons Filaret (Zubov), Pimen (Shein) and Deacon Alexey Antonovich.
