A collection of sermons "God Believes in Man" by Associate Professor Archimandrite Simeon (Tomachinsky)
The publishing house of the Sretensky Monastery has released a new book by Archimandrite Simeon (Tomachinsky) Associate Professor of the Department of Philology at the Moscow Theological Academy. This collection of sermons is a result of more than ten years work. Most of them were proclaimed at the Moscow Sretensky Monastery, as well as in St. Tatiana Church at the Moscow State University, the Intercession Church of the Moscow Theological Academy and the home church of the Kursk Seminary.
As stated in a preface to the book, "a real author of the sermon is not only the preacher himself, but to a great extent its listeners."
Background information:
Archimandrite Simeon (Tomachinsky), Ph.D. in Philology, Ph.D. in Theology, teaches homiletics, as well as the history of preaching and the poetics of liturgical literature at the Moscow Theological Academy. Earlier, he published a textbook and a reader on homiletics in collaboration with Vladimir Burega.
