International Students of MThA Visit Moscow's Sacred Sites

On December 16, 2025, a pilgrimage trip to Moscow was held for international students of the Moscow Theological Academy who enrolled this academic year.

The trip involved students from Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey, Canada, Cameroon, Kenya, as well as from neighboring countries. The students familiarized themselves with the landmarks of central Moscow, visiting the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Sretensky Monastery, and St. Andrew's Monastery. The group was accompanied by staff of the MThA International Department, S.A. Vinogradov and M.M. Romanov.

At St. Andrew's Stavropegial Monastery, a meeting took place between the students and the Vicar of the monastery, Head of the MThA Postgraduate Studies, Hegumen Dionysius (Shlenov), who told the guests about the monastery and also showed them the Synodal Library located there. At the end of the meeting, all guests received as a gift the recently published book by Father Dionysius, "In Defense of the Conciliar Structure of the Orthodox Church: The Theory of Primacy of the Patriarch of Constantinople and Its Criticism".

The administration of the Moscow Theological Academy expresses its gratitude to the Key Keeper of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Protopriest Mikhail Ryazantsev; the Vicar of Sretensky Monastery, Hegumen Ioann (Ludishchev); and the Vicar of St. Andrew's Monastery, Hegumen Dionysius (Shlenov) for organizing the interesting tours.
