Bishop Theodorite chaired the meeting of the MThA Scientific and Methodological Council
On October 22, the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Moscow Theological Academy held its regular meeting. It was chaired by the Rector Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite and took place in on site and remote formats.
At the meeting, participants discussed a new edition of the "Regulations on the practical students training" as well as organizational plan of student’s practice.
A long discussion aroused after the Philology Department proposal concerning the scientific management of term papers and final qualification works of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the main principles of determining the originality of texts themselves.
The Rector Bishop Theodorite suggested compiling a list of monographs for compulsory mastering by students during each academic year. This literature should thematically correspond to the disciplines included in the final exam of the Bachelor's program.
At the end of the meeting Archpriest Alexander Zadornov, Chairman of the Scientific and Methodological Council, noted the need of a renewal some information about new master's programs on the MThA official website and a format for scientific reporting in December 2020.
