Bishop Theodorite tonsured students of the Academy

On April 14, the Rector Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite tonsured students of the Moscow Theological Academy at the Trinity Cathedral of the Holy Trinity - St. Sergius’ Lavra.

The monastic vows were taken by:

• Anthony (Alexander Zazheko), a third-year postgraduate student, received his name in honor of St. Anthony of the Kievan Caves;
• Theodosius (Aleksey Makarov), a second-year postgraduate student, in honor of the Monk Theodosius of the Kievan Caves;
• Job (Dmitry Urum), a first-year Master's student, in honor of St. Job of Pochaev;
• Amphilochius (Pavel Pushkarev), a fourth-year undergraduate student, in honor of St. Amphilochius of Pochaev.

The brethren, teachers and students of the Academy gathered to pray for the newly tonsured monks in the Holy Trinity cathedral.

At the end, Bishop Theodorite addressed monks Anthony, Theodosius, Job and Amphilochius with parting words.
