Bishop Theodorite celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the Day of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill
On February 1, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the 12th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
On this day, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church co-served by teachers and students in the priesthood.
At the litany, they prayed for the unity of the Orthodox Church, saving it from divisions and schisms, and offered some prayer petitions for His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
After singing the sacrament verse, Hegumen Meletiy (Sokolov) deliered a sermon.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the clergy of the academic church sang many years to His Holiness the Patriarch in honour of the 12th anniversary of his enthronement.
