Bishop Theodorite took part in a scientific and practical conference "The Church Unity: theological, canonical and historical dimensions"

On November 11, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, took part in the International scientific and practical conference “The Church Unity: theological, canonical and historical dimensions”.

The conference was organized by the Kiev Theological Academy with the blessing of the Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onuphriy.

The purpose of the event was to clarify theological and canonical meaning of the Church unity principle and attempt to solve an issue of a primacy of Local Orthodox Churches. 

Bishop Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, opened the second ection of the conference with his welcoming speech.

Then, Hegumen Dionisiy (Shlyonov), Associate professor of the Theology Department at the Moscow Theological Academy, gave a report on “St. Dositheus’s of Jerusalem criticism of the Constantinople Patriarch’s extraterritorial appeal”.
