The Savior consecrated the union of a man and a woman by His presence at the wedding feast in Galilean Cana. He shared their joy with other guests and performed His first miracle by turning water into wine.

At the wedding sacrament, the Lord unites two people and establishes a small church, in which a husband and a wife start their joint way to the Kingdom of Heaven.

On October 23, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, blessed a fourth-year Bachelor student Serafim Belyaev and his fiancée, a third-year chorister student Olga Smirnova for their marriage.
