The Dean of the MThA Icon-painting Faculty took part in a meeting of the Educational Committee dedicated to methodological documents on the icon-painting course

On April 15, the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church held a remote meeting on the development of educational and methodological documents for the icon-painting training program.

The event took place within the framework of «Improving the quality of education in the training programs for icon painters in religious educational institutions» project. The financial support is provided by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

Archimandrite Luka (Golovkov), Dean of the Icon painting faculty of the Moscow Theological Academy, attended the meeting and spoke about the upcoming advanced training courses. Overall, it is planned to conduct four courses. The first one is on teaching the "Theology of the Icon" will be held at the Moscow Theological Academy on June 14-15, 2022.
