The Academy celebrated the memory of St. Seraphim of Sarov

The Holy Spirit breathes in those who live in the light of the Gospel. He transforms a person and enlightens a path of Christian’s life. So, everyone is called to become a temple of the Holy Spirit. To prepare an altar of your heart it is necessary to cleanse it of passions and dress in virtues.

On August 1, the Church celebrates the memory of St. Seraphim of Sarov. The ascetic life of the saint gives Christians an example of a genuine joy that Christ has conquered the death. What could be more important and more joyful than this news?

On August 31, Hieromonk Varnava (Losev), Dean of the Intercession Academic Church, officiated an All-night Vigil co-served by the academic clergy. On the following day, Archimandrite Hilarion (Forkavets) celebrated the Divine Liturgy co-served by teachers and students in the priesthood.
