The Academy celebrated the day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God

On November 4, the Russian Church honors the Kazan icon, which is one of the most venerated images of the Mother of God. In the most difficult time of Russian history, people prayed with faith and hope to the Most Holy Lady before Her image called the Kazan Icon. It became well-known both in Russia and beyond its borders as miraculous and powerful.

On November 4, Archimandrite Platon (Igumnov) celebrated the festive Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church co-celebrated by teachers and students in the priesthood.

Before the Communion, Hegumen Gerasim (Dyachkov) delivered a sermon.

At the end of the Liturgy, the clergy glorified the Mother of God in front of Her Kazan Icon.

The day before, Archimandrite Platon officiated a festive All-Night Vigil and performed a litany.
