Master's Programme

The Moscow Theological Academy is an educational, theological and research center that trains clergymen, teachers of church educational institutions, church academics and other specialists of the highest qualification in the field of Orthodox theology.

Entrance exams to the Master's degree programme are open to male and Orthodox believers with a bachelor's degree.

The Master's degree programme includes lectures and special courses, seminars and practical classes. The main goal of the students' independent work is to acquire not only knowledge, but also skills, abilities, competence, experience in the field of mastering and applying theological knowledge in church ministry and church life of the graduate of the Master's programme.

The master's programme ends with the writing and defence of a a master's thesis.

The Master's programme lasts 2 years, while a number of specializations also have a preparatory (propaedeutic) course.
