Once Aristotle said that music is an intermediary between spiritual and sensual life. Being\nconsidered as just a form of art, music is an amazing result of synergy between our soul and our\nsenses. As stated music has always been used as a tool to express lyrical feeling and personal\nsentiments. For many people it also became a kind of diary aimed to preserve precious life\nmoments. As a rule of fact, all this love and warmth of sweet memories is enshrined forever in\ndifferent aspects of music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 5 th a concert \u201cMusic and soul\u201d took place in the Elizabethan\u2019s hall of the Moscow\nTheological Academy. It was hold by the initiative of a third year student Gleb Shumko and his\nwife Maria Shumko, student of the Crimean Federal university, with the blessing of an\nadministration of the Moscow Theological Academy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One evening while my wife was playing the piano, we came up with an idea of this concert.\nObviously, being themselves newlywed, we chose love as a main theme. Also it was my wife\u2019s\nproject in the Crimean university, so we thought that our students would benefit from\nlistening to these classical pieces of music. We would like to thank an administration for its\nhelp in organizing the concert.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Seminarians and students of a Precentors\u2019 faculty of the Moscow Theological academy performed\nfor students and Academy guests who came to indulge classical music. The former Elizabethan\u2019s\ndining room and a choice of songs created a special atmosphere of the evening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the concert the following pieces of music were performed: \u201cCalling to You, My Lord\u201d I. S.\nBach, \u201cIn front of the icon of Theotokos\u201d L. Yanachek, \u201cA Girl was singing in a church choir\u201d\n(music V. Sidorov, lyrics A. Block), \u201cEvening in a harbour\u201d (music V. Solovey-Sedoy, words A.\nChurkin), a Ukrainian folk song \u201cDark eyes, black eyes\u201d and songs of I. Zshuravlev and A.\nAleksin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
