On June 4 and 5, 2026, alumni of the Moscow Theological Academy's class of 1996 gathered at the monastery of St. Sergius and their alma mater to mark the 30th anniversary of their graduation by sharing the joy of meeting in common prayer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 5 of this year, the Church celebrated the Third Finding of the Head of St. John the Baptist. On the eve and on the day of the feast, festive divine services were celebrated in the Intercession Academy Church by clergy who graduated from the theological school in 1996. Polyeleos Matins and the Divine Liturgy were led by Archimandrite Veniamin (Malevannikov), a cleric of the Sergiev Posad Diocese and a resident of the Boris and Gleb Monastery. Deacon Mikhail Ermachev, Assistant to the MThA Pro-rector for Disciplinary Work, served as the senior deacon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the tradition, after the conciliar service, the graduates prayed in the Trinity Cathedral at the relics of St. Sergius. The prayer service was led by Abbot Ilia (Churakov), Rector of the Church of the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste in Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterward, they honored the memory of the Lavra's elders - the brotherhood's confessor Archimandrite Kirill (Pavlov), Archimandrite Naum (Baiborodin), and Archimandrite Matthew (Mormyl) - buried near the Dukhovsky Church, as well as deceased teachers and mentors of the theological school at the MThA necropolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
