At the Patriarchal chambers, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church was met by the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Kirill, Abbot of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius\u2019 Lavra and the Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy; S.A. Pakhomov, Chairman of the Construction, Housing and Communal Services Committee of the State Duma at the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; D.A. Akulov, Head of the Sergiev Posad district of the Moscow region as well as the brethren of the monastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow Kirill led the service at Vespers with the reading of an Akathist to St. Sergius of Radonezh in the Trinity Cathedral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the service, His Holiness venerated the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
