On May 9, 2023, a concert dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place in the Great Hall of the Moscow Theological Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The traditional concert dedicated to the Victory Day was prepared by students of the Moscow Theological Academy. Every year, teachers, students and numerous guests of the Lavra and the Academy gather in the Great Hall to listen to music and poems of the war years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

At the opening of the concert, the audience prayfully honored the memory of the warriors laid down their lives on the battlefield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Nikolay Vaitsekhovsky, a third-year undergraduate student, opened the concert with a song \"Birch\", which followed by \u201cOld Waltz\u201d performed by Yevgeny Shagunov, a fourth-year undergraduate student, and \u201cMy Beloved\u2026\u201d sang by Ivan Bernatsky, a third-year undergraduate student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many pieces of music and poems were familiar and well-known compositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert program included such works as \u201cWhite panamas\u201d, \u201cA ballad about a boy\u201d, \u201cWe need one victory\u2026\u201d, \u201cWait for me and I will return\u201d by D. Hvorostovsky, \u201cGrandpa and Grandma\u201d by A. Tvardovsky, \u201cSaint God\u201d, \u201cTanks rumbled on the battlefield\u201d, \u201cI hear the voice of a mother\u2026\u201d, \u201cFrom the heroes of bygone times\u201d, \u201cI asked Russia\u201d, \u201cMother's ballad\u201d and \u201cSmall land\u201d. L. Zykina, \u201cBaksanskaya\u201d, \u201cWe haven\u2019t rested for such a long time\u2026\u201d, \u201cClouds in blue\u201d, \u201cWaving without looking\u201d, \u201cBelarus. Song of the partisans\u201d, \u201cGrandfather Agvan\u201d, \u201cIt is true that there was Stalingrad\u2026\u201d, \u201cSevastopol\u201d by A. Marshal, \u201cYou survived the soldier\u2026\u201d, \u201cMother's Prayer\u201d, \u201cVictory Day\u201d, \u201cKatyusha\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the concert, Archpriest Sergiy Zabelich sent Bishop Kirill\u2019s blessing and thanked its managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
