On November 4, the Church History Department of the Moscow Theological Academy hold an online students\u2019 seminar dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the death of Archimandrite Leonid (Kavelin) (1822-1891), who was an honorary member of the Moscow Theological Academy (1884) and Abbot of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius\u2019s Lavra (1877-1891). Archimandrite Leonid was a church historian, a bibliographer, a archaeographer, a translator and an honorary member of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexey Konstantinovich Svetozarsky, Head of the Church History Department, opened the seminar with his welcoming speech. \n The speakers were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
