His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill handed an antimension dating back to the time of His Holiness Patriarch of All Russia Tikhon over to the Moscow Theological Academy Museum \u201cChurch-Archaeological Cabinet\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The antimension is a handwritten figurative cloth of the early XX century painted in color. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nowadays, the Moscow Theological Academy Museum \u201cChurch-Archaeological Cabinet\u201d has one of the largest antimension collections containing more than 700 items. There are both handwritten and printed antimensions, the earliest of which dates back to the second half of the XVI century. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
