On May 22 and 23, Sunday services were held at the churches of the Moscow Theological Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the fourth week after Easter, the Holy Church recalls the gospel event about the healing of the paralytic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Jerusalem there was a place called \"Bethesda\" (in Hebrew meant a \"house of mercy\") with a baptismal font. Once a year an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Also, there stayed a person, who had been waiting for healing or 38 years. The Savior asked him if he wanted to get well and the sick man answered Him, \u00abSir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.\u00bb. Then \u201cJesus said to him, \u00abRise, take up your bed and walk. And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 23, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the lower seminary church of the holy great martyrs Barbara, Anastasia and the martyr Akilina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the service, Bishop Theodorite congratulated everyone on the holiday and addressed an assembly with his archpastoral word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Intercession Church, Hieromonk Damian (Voronov) delivered a sermon after singing the sacrament verse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
