Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article, the author attempts\nto describe the current state of research of significant and poorly studied\nwork such as the \u00abHexaemeron\u00bb attributed to St. Anastasius of Sinai. In modern\nRussian theological science there exist a commonly held opinion that this work\nis most likely spurious, that it does not really belong to the author of such\nworks as \u00abThe Guide\u00bb, \u00abThree sermons on the creation of man in the image of\nGod\u00bb, \u00abQuestions and Answers\u00bb et al. Is this opinion substantiated by current\ndata? What are the arguments for and against the authenticity of the\n\u00abHexaemeron\u00bb? The purpose of the article is to answer these questions and\nintroduce new arguments to the discussion. For this, the author assesses the\nnew arguments for and against authenticity, analyzes the theological and\nlexical features of various works of St. Anastasius, cites important fragments\nof the Hexaemeron, translated for the first time into Russian and compared with\nother works of the Anastasius Corpus. As a result, the author comes to the\nconclusion that the arguments for authenticity somewhat outweigh the arguments\nagainst, although it is premature to make a final judgment regarding the authorship\nof \u00abSix Days\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
